About

Cześć ( hello!)  My name is Andrea Slomczenski

Born in 1999 in Dearborn, MI, I am a versatile Creative Instructional Designer, Illustrator, and Muralist based in Detroit. Graduating from the College for Creative Studies (CCS) in May 2021 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, I've since delved into various creative endeavors. Initially interning at Denihan Consulting, Inc., I now hold the role of Creative Instructional Designer within the company. My primary focus lies in crafting training materials for clients within the Affordable Housing Industry and the lenders engaged in these programs.

A significant project I spearheaded was the development of OnDemand Training, a comprehensive platform aimed at providing participating lenders and their staff with streamlined access to essential tools and information. This platform offers 24/7 availability and encompasses Program, Workflow, and Technical Training modules. Through OnDemand Training, users receive or update their credentials upon completion. Annually, we successfully train approximately 15,000 lenders, showcasing my proficiency in aligning instructional design with organizational objectives.

My expertise spans analyzing business objectives to define learning outcomes, employing various instructional design methods, and proficiently utilizing eLearning development tools like Articulate 360 (Storyline), Adobe Creative Cloud, Adobe Captivate, and PowToon. Additionally, I excel in selecting and implementing learning management systems (LMS) and adhering to communication standards such as SCORM.

Beyond my professional pursuits, my artistic journey intertwines with my family's Polish heritage, a journey ignited by the remarkable life of my Great Grandma, Władysława Łączyńska Slomczenski (Lottie), who immigrated to the US over a century ago. Her resilience and experiences inspire my mural work, which has graced various locations including Grosse Point MI, Orlando FL, Tampa FL, and Detroit MI.

My personal ethos centers on Authenticity, Love, and Growth, values I embody both in my creative endeavors and daily life. I'm always open to discussing mural projects, commissions, delicious burritos, or the latest happenings in pop culture, such as dissecting the newest episode of Stranger Things.

When not immersed in my creative pursuits, you'll likely find me shredding the slopes snowboarding, participating in races of various lengths, embarking on adventures, or indulging in some retro gaming on my GameCube or diving into the latest titles on my PS5. And yes, I proudly embrace my role as a meme queen, living my dream to the fullest. Feel free to reach out; let's connect and explore the endless possibilities together!
